Foreword:
“This is the first installment of sermons in a long series that was preached in much of the year 2012. The feedback to the messages from God’s people encouraged the publication of the same into print.
There is so much confusion pertaining Christian maturity. It is often associated with experiences that are emotional and spectacular. It is easy for the immature to fall into popular claims. This was the very problematic situation that Paul faced when he wrote the Second Letter to the Corinthians. The thoughts of the section of the letter on which this series is based will help to fill much of the gap in our understanding of maturity. As this series will demonstrate, the challenge to maturity is not in happy conditions, but amidst conflict and adversity.
The members of Grace Baptist Church of Los Baños were the first to hear, and it is hoped, to profit from these messages. They have the burden of sharing these messages to the reading public who cares for biblical preaching.”
